Mullen “Raise the Roof.” When the gym roof at Mullen High School collapsed during a 2003 snowstorm, patrons and alumni forged a partnership with local promoters to stage a series of annual oldies fundraising concerts. Artists included the Doobie Brothers, the Moody Blues, and Journey. Big contributors met the artists backstage. Organizers raffled off a special edition Harley-Davidson Centennial Motorcycle.
